Well Cruisefest 2010 came and went without hardly a ripple in the show world community, bad location and weather devastated the had been so greatly that perhaps only 20% of the 2200 pre registers showed up to take part.  AOCC even made a poor showing as we had 2 members spend the weekend, and Cody Reed and Myself, along with Danielle, Lauren, and Trey showed up to check out the scene on Saturday.  50 MPH winds and 52 degree weather didnt help atall.  This location was so far out of the way, it only hampered the Show from the get go.  Lets sign on again to get to Cruisefest 2011, and HOPE its in a more civil part of Ohio near a large city, Pataskula atleast, but I will just keep on dreaming of it coming back to Chillicothe.

Ohio House OKs stiffer street racing penalties PDF Print E-mail
Written by Admin - Drew
Wednesday, 02 December 2009 11:22

COLUMBUS (AP) -- The Ohio House has approved tougher penalties for illegal racing on the state's streets.

A bill that passed 90-7 on Tuesday includes mandatory jail time of at least six months if the racing results in a person being injured or property being damaged. The legislation also makes racing enhanced by nitrous oxide a more serious crime. The gas is sometimes used by racers to give their engines more power.

Those watching the House vote included Monica Durban, an Ohio State University student who spent weeks in a coma last year after her vehicle was struck by a street racer, who died in the crash. Durban and her family say others shouldn't have to suffer the way she did.

The bill still needs Ohio Senate approval.

Thursday November 30th 2006

Computer crash back in July just after our car show has kept us from updating the news in a long while. The club still seats 11 members as things has slowed down going into this winter and offseason. Our car show was a pretty good success heres a link to some of the info, since I removed it from the front page...

POST - Livin' It Up Bash 2006

Friday July 7th 2006

Car Show tomorrow held by yet another Chillicothe Car Club trying to get off the ground, I believe now there are actively 5 Clubs in this small city trying to get it going, good luck to you all. Now lets get down to our business.

I was told this car show is tomorrow (Saturday) at the Sack N' Save on Main Street in Chillicothe... I'll post back shortly on more info.

Sunday July 2nd 2006

CLUB MEETING AND COOKOUT! YES THIS MONTHS MEETING IS A WEEK EARLY!

4 weeks to our Livin' it up BASH!

We had a great outcome, 18 of our 20 members showed up for our cookout, even all our new comers!

Thanks for coming out, sharing ideals about our upcoming show and just giving input on making this thing happen.

Wednesday June 28th 2006

Livin' it up bash - Brittaney Fischer Benefit, Flyer goes public

Sorry about the long wait! The info is out! The fine tuning for this event has proven to be a challenge but not to much that we couldnt handle LOL!

Saturday June 24th 2006

Team S-3 held a car show at the K-Mart parking lot in Chillicothe today, the turn out was a lil out of whack considering our area had lots of ran all week.

Alpha Omega turned out a small task force of 7 vehicle's and picking up 4 more recruits before the show was done.

Recruits that were added were, Mark Zickafoos, Eric Longlott, Kenny Sullivan, and Jason Stamper. I'd like to take a second and Welcome them to the club! Rock on.

Saturday June 17th 2006

The Lancaster Fairground Earth Angel show was today.

Excellent turn out of over 500 cars, this was the first year that new models and modified vehicles were welcomed to the show, a friend of mine and annual trophy winner Sean Stiles with his '97 Eclipse Spyder and his friend Marty with his PT Cruiser didnt even take home trophies at this show, however a friend of the judges who had a brand spanking new Lamborgini kit car did, and was the only vehicle newer than a 1980 that took home a quality glass trophy.

In other words, do not hit this show but as an enthusiasts if you have anything newer than a 1980 that is not valued at more than $80,000. I would bet even a first generation Hummer, or a quality H2 would have problems impressing this bunch.

Friday June 9th 2006

Today we hit the Round Town Cruisers, Cruise-In at the Wal-Mart in Circleville, Ohio.

It was a decent outcome of atleast 40 vehicles, with the cars ranging all years and models, we didnt see 2 of any 1 vehicle model year. Impressive, but yet not enough cars to make this cruise in totally worth it, perhaps next month they can tape off a larger area, and maybe, just maybe people will stick it out and go cruising in down town round town!!!

Sunday June 4th 2006

Hernstein's had a show today, The Hernstein's Cruise In.

From what was supposed to be a rainy day turned out almost record breaking heat and alot of sunshine!

This show brought out about 80 cars, alot of rod's and was very nice!

I'd be sure to hit this show again next year as it was probably the best judged show, for all makes and model's to date this year!

Saturday May 27th 2006

Lancaster held its annual Mental Health Awareness show today, and wow it was nice, over 200 cars, alot of entertainment for the kids, and no nonsence judging made this an awesome event which I will definatelly tackle again next year!

We're going to end up getting used to this drive to Lancaster this year I'm sure, alot of car shows on my schedule are at this fair grounds!

Saturday May 20th 2006

Sweet and Unique held there benefit show at the Shawnee Bowling Alley from 12pm to 4pm.

about 40 cars attended, we took home the Car Club Participation award, and noone walked away emty handed who attended from AOCC.

We also held our monthly meeting this month 1 week late due to Cruise Fest the week before, everything went smooth, and we look forward to a good transition in the coming weeks. Read back later for more info.

Weekend May 12-14th 2006

We attended Cruisefest, and the entire experience this time around was a WASH what a waste of time, I see better overall vehicles travelling down Bridge Street here in small town Chillicothe, dont waste your time at this show next year unless it comes back to Ohio.

Saturday May 6th 2006

-New Horizons 10th Annual Cruise-In

We attended this car show, and applicant Nick Gentile also came along for the ride.

This was an excellent show, I would tell anyone who would think about going to a Lancaster show, at the fair grounds to go, anywhere from 100-200 Vehicles each show, and theres a couple during the year that has an 800 car turn out... Check it out!

Saturday April 29rd 2006

We attended the Dogwood Festival Car Show, there was only an attendance of about 65 cars, but still there were some very nice muscle at this show, I hope the person who took over, and seems to be taking the show in the right direction keeps going that way, I'm sure this show at the Dog Wood Festival will be a must hit the next coming car show Season.

Monday April 23rd 2006

-This saturday morning AOCC held a car wash at the local Advanced Auto Parts store next to Taco Bell.
It turned out to be a mild success, 1 more turn out like that and all our expenses for the May 27th Car Show at K-Mart will be a done deal.
-I started working with Photocardbizofohio.com this weekend I attended the Cruise in at the PRCTC school saturday afternoon and on Sunday Danielle, David Crist and I travelled to Quaker Steak and Lube at Polaris for the Ohiorides.org meet which also was a mild success!

Friday April 21st 2006

Tuesday March 22nd 2006

OHNO! ITS SNOW!

And to think just yesterday was supposed to be the first day of spring? What were they thinking?!?!

Last week or so been a busy one here at the home front, The Elantra Body kit is officially painted and on, should have seen me rushing this morning to get it into the garage before the first snow flake hit it! Also here I was thinking it might need a 2 inch drop, dude I cant roll it into my drive way, without rubbing sidewalk, and its the lowest incline possible, how sad is that. 8(

I bought a fix er upper '95 Eagle Talon ESI, you wont know its a talon this time next month thats for sure!

Greg Funk's Mustang McLaren side skirts finally fit! expect to see that badboy mustang on the streets mid april!

Bean's Grand Prix is well on its way now, officially having the bumps replaced and being prepped to paint, the car should be much better than a rolling chassis come mid april as well!

I hear that Dustin may have ran into him a new ride, hope he can find time, with that lil one on the way come late next month early may!

Well this was just a few things being done... thought id throw a shout out, and congratulate everyone on their hard work during this off season, remember the new season has already started and its official april 1st.

Columbus Extreme Sports Expo - 2 thumbs down
The advertising and the reality were nowhere near the hype 60 to 100 of the most tricked out rides. The motorcycle show just didn't happen with only 4 bikes showing up (couple oldies and one bad ass bike to fast for its paint showing its leopard underbody). I looked for alot of Extreme Sports parafanilia, if you were looking for anything other than atv's, motorcycles, skate boards, or a few odds and ins you wont find it. Skiing? Snow boarding? Nope, not one thing even during this winter season.

As for the car show, for the short period in which the event was thrown together Chillicothe had a good showing having been 10 of the 31 vehicles that showed up, props to Chillicothe. Here are most of the non Chillicothe rides Click here (remember to increase the pixels from 320x320 to 640x640 to get a good look!). As for the rest of the counties in Ohio, only 21 vehicles... This I assume was just an advertisement problem, and next year will be 10 times better I'm sure.

However the expo did sell record breaking ticket numbers for a weekend event in only 1 day! Volleyball and Cheerleading state events were going on at the same time, a hell of a weekend if you had family members involved with those events, you would have alot to keep you entertained I'm sure they enjoyed the Extreme Sports Expo.

If I hadn't met some of my fellow Chillicothian's at the expo, I would have considered this a total waste of time. Give us your input post it in the forums.

Sunday January 29th 2006

OH YES BEFORE I FORGET!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOSH FELTS!

HAHAHA heres a couple video's of him at the spaghetti warehouse after the expo Saturday night! These will take a short while to download.

Josh BDay Video 2 13MB 6mins on a 333mb cable connection.

Here's a quick quote from the Extreme Sports Expo web site. Theres your props/\!

"Team S3 has been asked to conduct one of the most unique car shows of the winter in Ohio and the Midwest. “The Extreme Custom Car Show” will take place Saturday and Sunday January 28th & 29th in the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio.

The Extreme Custom Car Show will be a part of the Extreme Sports Expo; a public trade show showcasing the products and services in the fast growing world of extreme, action, and adventure sports.

The car show will be limited to between 60 and 100 of the most tricked out vehicles in the country. Four separate classes consisting of Tuners, Trucks and SUV’s, Muscle Cars, and Custom Classics will make the show. You and your vehicle will have exposure to thousands of people at the show and national media and magazines have expressed interest."

Once again, Congratulations
